Children with a keen eye for treasure can win some fantastic prizes in the Council's diamond treasure hunt on the King's Road and Kensington High Street over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
If your child is aged between five and 12, join them on the search for diamonds, which will take in some of the best known names in retail. Children can win a selection of fabulous prizes including £100 of toys from Peter Jones, afternoon tea at the Royal Garden Hotel, family tickets for `The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' and a private tour of the War Horse exhibition at the National Army Museum.
Diamond prospectors can take to the King's Road or Kensington High Street and will need to visit each shop shown on the entry form (available online here and also in the Central Library, Hornton Street or Chelsea Library, King's Road) and search for a picture of a red, white or blue diamond then write down the colour of each diamond on their form.
Completed forms must be handed in to any of the participating shops or returned to the Council at Kensington Town Hall by Wednesday 6 June. Continue reading.
