The new children’s play area at the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road explores aspects of army life from camping to clothing. It includes a dedicated soft-play space for babies, plus arts and crafts, dressing-up costumes, books, toys and panels. There are also fascinating objects from the Museum’s Collection on display, with interactive models for children to touch and explore.

HALF PRICE COCKTAILS AT THE WORLD’S END

The newly refurbished World’s End, 459 King’s Road is offering half-price cocktails Monday-Friday 5-7pm and all day Thursdays. A wide selection of drinks are on offer in a relaxing and traditional pub environment - perfect for unwinding after a hard day in the office. And if you are looking for something rather more taxing then why not join them on Tuesday night’s for their weekly quiz.

BOISDALE OF BELGRAVIA LIVE JAZZ
Tuesday 19 July

The world famous Scottish jazz club, Boisdale of Belgravia, 15 Eccleston Street have live music performers every night of the week and Thursday is no exception. The night will kick off with their regular pianist J P Newton seranading the crowd, followed by the T J Johnson band. Influenced by Ray Charles they will be playing a range of Rhythm and Blues and New Orleans Jazz. For more details visit the website.

ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA AT CADOGAN HALL
Wednesday 20 July

The RPO will be showcasing a programme of Wagner, Brahms and Franck on Wednesday. The Prelude to Act 1 of Lohengrin is an exquisite example of Wagner’s shimmering, spine-tingling orchestration and slowly unfolding harmonies, reaching heights of sublime beauty. Brahms’s Violin Concerto is another treat, with a particularly delectable slow movement. Belgian composer Franck combined French ‘cyclic’ form, in which certain phrases recur throughout, with a more Germanic style – like Wagner, Franck revelled in lush orchestral sounds. Tickets start from £12.50 and are available here.

CHINAWHITE AT THE CARTIER INTERNATIONAL POLO
Sunday 24 July

The Cartier International Polo is considered by many to be the highlight of the British social season and the pinnacle of the polo calendar. This year's event is set to be no exception with an incredible DJ set from Mark Ronson, as well as what is set to be an explosive DJ performance from Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell – the king of the sun-kissed summer anthem and a giant in modern day dance music!
