This weekend we bring you a bag of delights to experience on King’s Road. Try your hand at sewing (your mother would be proud), cycle around the borough learning about its blue plaque history, or maybe you’ll find someone who floats your boat as you go speed dating in a kayak!
BLUE PLAQUE CYCLING TOURS
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
Organised by the Royal Borough’s Road Safety and Travel team, bikeminded.org bring you free Blue Plaque Cycling Tours for this weekend only. During the two tours (family and adult only), an actor will regale cyclists with the stories behind 23 local Blue Plaques, including those dedicated to Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie and George Eliot. On Saturday, they will also be launching the free Blue Plaque Tour App, which enables people to do the tours at their leisure.
Tours start at 10am from Gloucester Road tube station on Saturday and Sunday.
