We’ve picked our favourite pub and bar gardens on the King’s Road – in case you were searching for some inspiration on where to spend the longer evenings.
THE PHENE
For the height of urban chic, opt to sip your cocktail of choice at The Phene’s outdoor terrace. With lush greenery, sleek black and white sofas and tables, plus plenty of fairy lights. This bar garden has a cool New York rooftop bar vibe. The Phene is on 9 Phene Street.
THE HAND & FLOWER
Hidden from the King’s Road traffic, the Hand & Flower’s leafy, secluded garden at 617 King’s Road – complete with its own Thai Buddha statue – is almost like escaping the country. It’s the best place to enjoy an afternoon G&T, either in one of its sunny spots or shady nooks. The best bit is, punters starting off at the Hand & Flower get on Embargo 59’s guest list, with reduced entry.
HENRY J. BEAN”S
With the biggest pub garden in Chelsea (pictured), with tons of greenery and lots of seating space, Henry J. Beans, 195-197 King’s Road, is one of the area’s best summer hangouts. Great for lounging in the sun with a cocktail and a juicy burger, then sticking around for one of their late night events.
