Chelsea’s most famous neighbourhood restaurant, Bluebird, has launched its new afternoon tea. The traditional afternoon treat includes fresh fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, an assortment of finger sandwiches with fillings including egg mayonnaise and cress, smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese, as well as an array of delicious fresh cakes and sweets created by Bluebird’s Pastry Chef, Pascal Vandeputte.
For that extra treat, there’s a champagne version which can be enjoyed on weekdays or weekends.
Jean-Baptiste Requien, Bluebird’s general manager, said afternoon tea is a natural direction for the London restaurant to take. “This is an exciting new menu for the Bar at Bluebird, and with a busy spring and summer ahead, we are confident this will be a lovely experience for those wishing to come to Bluebird.”
Traditional afternoon tea starts at £18.50 per person, and champagne afternoon tea is £25.50 per person. It can be booked online or by calling Bluebird on 020 7559 1000.
