This Wednesday (8 June) at Barts on Sloane Avenue, catch William Sitwell – renowned food writer and editor of Waitrose Kitchen magazine – talking about his family's literary heritage. The descendent of prominent 20th century writers Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell will also be taking questions on how to break into food writing. The events starts at 7pm and the person with the best question will win a £20 Waterstones voucher.
DRINK FREE WINE
From Wednesday The Waterside in Riverside Tower, Imperial Wharf is offering a free bottle of red, white or rosé El Coto rioja – costing from £18.50 to £22 – when you buy any two main courses. Mains start from £10.95 and the deal runs until the end of the month. To get the offer guests must pre-book via email, quoting "El Coto".

PARTY IN THE STREET
At this year's Elizabeth Street Party, courtesy of the Belgravia Trader's Association, the local shops and restaurants of Elizabeth Street will take their wares into the street – with music, food and activities for kids and families. Happening on Wednesday 8 June from 6pm to 11pm, the event is guaranteed to get you into the carnival spirit. Plus, the proceeds from the admission fee go to Help for Heroes.
