The annual Gift of Sight Fair in aid of the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital, opens on Wednesday 2 November with a special preview tomorrow evening (1 November from 6pm) at Chelsea Old Town Hall. The Gift of Sight Annual Fair has moved this year from Kensington and will showcase a range of jewellery, unusual gifts, accessories, clothes and special trinkets - perfect for Christmas presents.
The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is a charity providing eye care in Gaza, where rates of blindness are ten times higher than here in the West. The original St John Eye Hospital was established in Jerusalem way back in 1882.
Sarah Jane Holden, organiser of the event, and member of the Guild, a volunteer fund raising committee for the Eye Hospital in Jerusalem, clinics and Outreach Programme, told us: "We are very excited about the move to Chelsea Old Town Hall on King's Road. We hope to esablish the Fair here in Chelsea and look forward to welcoming new friends and guests."
Doors open on Tuesday evening at 6pm for a champagne reception and sumptuous shopping evening, followed by a day of shopping on Wednesday.
The Guild invite you to join the fun.
