As part of Open Garden Squares Weekend 2012, Cadogan Estates are offering visitors exclusive access to the Cadogan Square Garden and Cadogan Place Gardens, today (Sunday 9 June) and tomorrow (Sunday 10 June).
The latter of the two, which used to be known as the London Botanic Garden, resides discreetly behind the gates on Sloane Street.
The garden boasts some horticultural treasures and is hosting a set of authentic music from the 1950’s, as Cadogan Estates proudly present The Milkshakers, who will perform for visitors and garden enthusiasts alike.
Quintessentially British picnic treats will be prepared especially for the occasion by The Cadogan Hotel and the pop-up take-away food bar will serve quaint finger sandwiches and afternoon tea as well as Pimms on the lawn, where visitors can relax and enjoy the mellow prom-style ballads mixed with a little 1950’s rock n’ roll.
Tickets are £9 online from Open Garden Squares should you wish to purchase them in advance. Alternatively, tickets will cost £12 at the gate during the day and this includes access to all London gardens. Single admission to one garden is £3 and children under 12 go for free.
Visitors can enjoy unrivalled access to the usually private gardens from 10am – 5pm.
This is a great opportunity to visit some of London’s private gardens, whilst sipping a cool glass of Pimms, why not go along and enjoy the entertainment and the seclusion of London’s most secret gardens.
