Fitriani, the luxury ladies’ occasion wear label, has launched its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, ‘Sugar Crystals’, featuring a ready-to-wear, made-to-measure and couture offering. The exclusive boutique specialises in gorgeous dresses for all sorts of glamorous occasions.
Inspired by sugar crystals in all their delectable forms, Fitriani has created a collection referencing delicious confectionery. Evening gowns and cocktail dresses are sewn from luxurious fabrics such as silk and satin, textured with embellishment, embroidery and jewels to evoke the scattering of sweets and the shape of candy.
Featherlight fabrics are expertly used to achieve the weightless effect of candy floss while intricate embroidery creates the ethereal illusion of flowing silk being sprinkled with sugar granules, beautifully represented in the design of ‘Sugar’, the glamorous signature piece of the collection.
The colour palette for the collection is characterised by pistachio green, aqua glacier and champagne oyster, while bright bursts of yellow and stony rose pink deliver the vibrant blocks of colour, which will be showcased on the catwalks in the coming summer season. A Fitriani will be sure to turn heads since each one is a complete one-off and limited edition.
Fitriani’s made-to-measure and couture services are available by appointment only, while the ready-to-wear collection can be viewed in Fitriani’s showroom at 32 Beauchamp Place.
