This autumn, British luxury bed retailer Marshall & Stewart has opened two luxury showrooms, including one on King's Road. The showrooms which were originally trading as Hästens, were rebranded as Marshall & Stewart, selling the popular Swedish-made beds alongside the new and exclusive British Marshall & Stewart Diamond Collection.
The Diamond Collection consists of six luxury models, designed by Marshall & Stewart MD Brent Cooper with each bed hand crafted in Britain using a combination of traditional techniques and innovative designs.
This collection is created by layering the very finest natural materials and a progressive, intelligent spring system providing unparalleled comfort.
Earlier this year, eccentric hotelier and acclaimed interior-designer David Carter commissioned Marshall & Stewart bespoke beds to add the finishing touch to his London 18th century town house hotel 40 Winks. Mr Carter was keen to work with a British bed brand, approached Marshall & Stewart to design the beds to incorporate his choice of fabrics and upholstery.
They were unveiled at the hotel last month and guests at the glamorous residence can now experience an exceptional night's sleep in the bespoke Marshall & Stewart beds, in the finest of surroundings. The decadent 40 Winks, dubbed the “world's most beautiful small hotel” by German Vogue, is located in trendy East London and is a favourite for fashion and lifestyle shoots.
40 Winks has become the world's first hotel to offer guests the unique Marshall & Stewart sleep experience.
David Carter said: “40 Winks is not a conventional hotel. What we offer is an ambiance that guests can slip in to, and a place where they can disappear from the real world. Having a fantastic night's sleep is an essential element of this experience, and we spent a long time searching for the perfect bed.
“I was so excited to discover a British company making some of the finest beds in the world that I was delighted to commission them for 40 Winks. My guests can now enjoy a level of luxury and comfort that is unparalleled.”
