We’re all in a big freeze. Christmas seems like a distant memory. And it seems forever until the next holiday. But here at Kingsroad.co.uk we don’t believe in denying yourself during surely the most depressing of seasons. Here are four little treats to perk you up this month.
Learn to cook up a storm
Well-being company
Nosh Detox is hosting a series of cooking classes aimed at helping you rustle up delicious, healthy food. You can choose a basic, intermediate or expert level and you get to take home a personalised recipe card with preparation methods, plus macro and micro nutrient values of the dishes to encourage healthier every day cooking.
Nosh cookery sessions are £71 per person (£273 for all three) and last 2 hours 30 minutes. They are held on Wednesdays at 6.30pm, Fridays and Sundays at 11am.
Have a long, hot soak
Penhaligon’s – the vintage perfumers – is promoting its Artemisia range. The bath oil is floral and fruity, with hints of green apples and nectarines washed with jasmine tea. It’s gorgeous. Pour a little into a warm bath and relax. It’s £39 for a lovely bottle.
Engage in a cheat’s detox
Find an hour to pop into
The Chelsea Day Spa for their signature mini detox – a back cleanse, lemon and lavender back massage, Darphin peony facial, and fruit and detox tea refreshments. Feel smug and reinvigorated, and with no effort at all. It all comes in at a friendly £59.
Find your time zone
The Peak Health Club & Spa at Jumeirah Carlton Tower has launched a new Jet Lag Revival treatment. It’s a three hour pampering experience which promises to sooth and revitalise, helping jetsetters refresh and adjust to their new time zone.
There’s a full body scrub, a body polish and a full body massage with seaweed oil, followed by a facial. The treatment lasts three hours and costs £150.
